Rainwater harvesting rules in Assam

The Assam Unified Building Construction (Regulation) Bye-laws, 2022 say every building must have one or more rainwater harvesting structures for rooftop runoff. They apply in master-plan and notified planning areas, except Autonomous Districts. Guwahati has required RWH since its 2014 building bye-laws, and earlier GDA bye-laws set a 100 sq m threshold.
