The rule in Mizoram

In Aizawl, the Aizawl Municipal Council Building Regulations, 2012 require a suitable rainwater harvesting facility in all buildings, and building plans must include it. A 2013 government reply said no state-level regulation had been imposed because RWH was already widely practised. In 2023, Mizoram was one of three States/UTs that had not adopted the Model Building Bye-Laws 2016.
